This 4th Annual Caribbean Days on Capitol Hill Conference will bring together families, community leaders, decision makers, and practitioners from agencies traditionally entrusted with securing safe and nurturing environments for children, youth, and their families.
During the conference, participants will have a unique opportunity to come together and exchange information on Caribbean issues from across the country and internationally. Experts from a range of disciplines and systems (both formal and nontraditional) will be on hand to network with participants and present information on current policy trends and contemporary research. In addition, participants will receive recommendations from America elected officials and have an opportunity to create a Caribbean “think tank”.
To build countries that truly champion healthy economic growth and development, all stakeholders must unite around this common goal. Caribbean building is a dynamic, capacity-building process that taps the energy of Caribbean citizens to make them agents of change. This process mobilizes multiple systems, disciplines, and community members to shift from a problem-focused agenda to one of prevention and amplification of our strengths.
