The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, in addition to toys at Christmas; a message of hope to needy children affected or infected with HIV/AIDS in the Caribbean, with the hope that it will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
Other objectives of Toys for Tots are:
Currently, the Toys for Tots project is conducted annually in Guyana
with plans to extend the initiative to Trinidad, Dominica, and Jamaica
in 2006. The Christmas of 2003 will marked the 3rd year of operations
for this program. In Christmas 2002, in collaboration with Delta Sigma
Theta Sorority, Inc. PWCAC International Awareness Committee, the
program distributed two hundred toys and provided meals for 200 hundred
children in Georgetown, Guyana.
